How do I change the roller bushings pn the DW735 Planer?

Follow the instructions listed below to replace the bushings:

1. First raise the cutter head up as far as it will go.
2. Next turn the unit upside down for easy access to the bushing brackets item 97on the parts list. These brackets need to be removed to replace each bushing.
3. To loosen the bushing bracket screws it would be best to use a ratchet w/ a 1/4" socket attached. Place a short Phillips bit tip in the socket. By using the ratchet it will give you more torque which will be required to loosen these screws. You also may want to take the Phillips bit, place it on the screw, and tap it w/ a hammer. This will "unfreeze" the threads, making them easier to remove.
4. Remove the two screws in each bracket. Slide the bracket off the end of the roller shaft.
5. At this time you should take notice of the notch in the top of the bushing. When placing the new bushings in the frame the notch should be in the same position as those that are being replaced. (you should be able to see the notch and it is facing towards the roller) The hole in the bushing is off center. Placing the bushing in another other orientation will not allow the roller to operate properly.
6. Do not remove the springs under the bushings.
7. Place the brackets back in place over the bushings & tighten the two screws in each bracket.
